  • Right click on the asset that you want to make “First Play” in the project window and choose “Set as First Play” You will notice a little yellow circle icon on your asset in the project window now, which indicates that it is now set to “First Play”

    Hey Johnny,

You might want to submit a feature request to Adobe to add a “link to loop point” feature.

January 17, 2006 at 6:31 pm in reply to: Adobe has failed us again! No Multi-Angles in E2

    Hey John,

I’m upset as you are with the lack of multi-angle support along with advanced scripting. If Encore would add those two features it really would be a full fledge pro DVD authoring app. My guess is that they don’t think a lot of their user base has the need for multi-angle, so it is not at the top of the list. I think if they put it in their lot of users would start using it and be able to offer it to clients. Especially when doing certain types of training DVDs.

So, when I need multi-angle or scripting I use DVD Studio Pro and the whole time wish I was able to do it in Encore. If you design your menus in Photoshop and After Effects the integration in Encore is a real timesaver. I realize that every time I have to use DVD Studio Pro. Personally I think it would be very cool if Encore could import Premiere Pro multi-cam projects as multi-angle tracks!

    Sorry David,

Not in this version. Although I have made a feature request for this in the past, hopefully in the next release.

    Thanks Walter,

That is what I have been doing so far, but there must be an easier way to Color Correct in multicam mode! Avid has a great color correction mode for multicam, I hope Apple adds something like it in the future.

Sorry, Encore 1.5 doesn’t allow direct access to GPRM. I would suggest sending them a feature request and hopefully this will be added in the future.

Just right click on your menu in Encore and choose “Edit in Photoshop”. This will then open your menu in Photoshop and you can make any changes you need and update in Encore.

June 30, 2005 at 10:25 am in reply to: Best workflow for creating D, M & E audio stems?

Thanks for the info. I have pretty much the same setup with my tracks. Sometimes I wish there was a way to label tracks.

How do you handle your final mix? I’ve been playing around in Soundtrack Pro and sending all my SFX tracks to one bus and the music to another. Then outputting everything as seperate tracks and importing them back into Final Cut.

Is it possible to do a 4 channel output? Stereo mix on channels 1 & 2, and music & sound effects only on 3 & 4?

    Hi Romain,

Take your 5 second video loop and bring it into Premiere Pro (or any NLE) and add it 12 times to your timeline so it adds up to 1 min to match your audio file. Then bring the new video file into Encore.
