When you set your end action for the timeline to go back to the main menu there should be an option to define what button you want it to go to as opposed to the “default”.

I’m a big fan of the MXO2 as well. Definitely check it out and compare it to the others. One of my favorite things about it is that it doesn’t lock you into using it on one system. You can easily use it on multiple systems as well as a MacBook Pro. If you do a lot of H.264 encoding you should get the version with MAX for faster then realtime encoding. You can read more about it here…

I really have been happy with mine.

  • What kind of I/O do you need? Do you do a lot of H.264 encoding?

You should check out the I/O Devices from Matrox…

I have the MXO2 and love it! It will work with your MacPro and a MacBook Pro. You can get it with their new MAX H.264 Encoding Engine which will give you faster then realtime H.264 file creation. I saw a demo at NAB and was blown away with the speed along with everyone else around me.

You can see more info here..

If you have any questions let me know.

I’ve been using the Matrox MXO and the MXO2 and haven’t had any support issues. They have a very active forum on their site as well as one here at the Cow. You can also call them if you need to talk to someone right away.

    Hey Kevin,

I totally agree. I’ve read about the dangers of archiving on drives. Is there any specific LT04 or DLT solution you can recommend? Is that what you use?

    Thanks,

    Greg

    Hi Sean,

At this time Encore does not support Blu-ray replication. For this you will need Sonic Scenarist.

I just had this issue again on another project. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

    Hey Peter,

The best way to do this would be to use Adobe Encore CS3 to author your DVD project. It has an option that will export your DVD to flash, menus and all. You don’t have to do any programing, you just hit a button and it does it!

Did you ever have any Adobe beta software on your system? If so that could be part of the problem. Email me and I can tell you some things to try. If you didn’t then cal tech support, I dont think the wait would be to long.

I don’t know about iDVD but with Encore you can set it to loop forever.
