Activity Forums Adobe Encore DVD End action & loop point

  • End action & loop point

Created animated fly for first play, works fine. Where I’m running into trouble is that after running though the timelines and coming back to the menu, the menu starts up again at the beginning, not at the loop point. Am I missing something.

Obviously I can create 2 menus and have my end action take me to 2nd menu, but that seems to defeat the purpose of the loop point in the first place.

    Any ideas?

That’s normal behavior. When you link to a menu, you link to the entry point of the menu. You can’t link directly to a loop point, the loop point only does anything once the menu has started playing.

For what you want to do, use two menus, or a timeline (for the intro) and a menu.

Thanks Tim, that was the conclusion I reached also. Had I thought about it some more ahead of time I could of saved myself at least 1 long AE render. Live and learn.

    Thanks

    Hey Johnny,

You might want to submit a feature request to Adobe to add a “link to loop point” feature.
