That’s why I suggested going out of Premiere to do all captioning. Premiere is just problematic when it comes to captions so best to use other programs.

Premiere is very weak when it comes to captions. Build all of your captioning outside of Premiere. Amara.org is very good for creating captions and there are apps that will marry the srt file to a master video file.

Not sure why this is an issue for anyone. You don’t have to pay for it. You can pay just for Premiere if you have no need for the other Adobe products or you can use another NLE- FCPX, Resolve or Avid. So what’s the problem?

That’s only part of the expenses. There’s also the entire cloud infrastructure since Adobe offers cloud storage, stock footage libraries, website hosting, a digital assets marketplace, etc. These added value aspects of the cloud subscription require a small army of people to maintain and keep running and then there’s the massive cloud server infrastructure.

Bottom line, the expenses are much more than what you’ve laid out.

I’ve gone through the endless headache of attempting to project manage projects for colorists and at the present time there simply doesn’t exist an easy way to prep a Premiere project for a colorist.

Have a chat with the colorist and let he or she know that Premiere is highly problematic in regards to project managing and therefore the easiest workflow is to give the colorist a drive with the entire project and all media on it. And yes, I know that colorists always want a collected project so that they don’t get confused but until Premiere overhauls the project manager there is no simpler approach.

Here’s one option:

create your comps in AE and export them out as renders. You can create the keyed comps in Premiere as well so it’s a matter of what you feel more comfortable in.

Once you have all of the comps in Premiere then start your multi-cam process.

I agree with Mark. Multicam isn’t really designed to allow for compositing in the nest. Take your nine angles of green screen into AE and create composites, import those back into Premiere and then create a multicam.

This is where that old school traditional mainstream media still serves a vital role. A publication like the New York times or The Washington Post would carry a lot more weight and legitimacy. It also would greatly help if the article cited real statistical sources for these conclusions.

I agree with Shane’s assessment and it’s also worth noting that from the trailer it looks to be a promo with nothing but white males. Not exactly an example of diversity.

perhaps instead of trying to get people to drop $10 to see it, sell it to Apple and they can add it into their marketing machine.
