I think you could use Audio Waveform or Audio Spectrum to get one line. Then precomp this and stack your precomp multiple times to get the extra lines

I’d create an adjust layer with two circular masks, one smaller and set to subtract.

Then I’d probably start with Turbulent Displace on the layer and see if I can get the look through altering the settings. If that doesn’t quite do it, work through the distort effects, I’m sure it’s possible with one of them.

If you get this looking right, can you come back to this thread and post your results?

Personally, I find the easiest way to move the camera is to create a null object, make it 3D and use the Camera’s Point of Interest pickwhip to link the POI to the null. That way i can position my null layer exactly where i want the camera to look and then use the camera’s position after that.

Just to add to Terry response.

All layers etc… in the timeline have transform properties. The position values in there can be inputted directly and AE will perform basic maths for you too.

For example, if you want a layer exactly in the middle of a 1920×1080 comp, you can click on the X value and type:

    1920/2

And AE will set the X to 960

And you can do the same for the Y value, 1080/2.

I think you’ve accidentally posted twice and Liran has answered onyour other thread, but just in case someone finds this thread by google search:

    View-> Hide Layer Controls

    or

    Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+H

Check out the Script called “Create nulls from paths” (it is a bottom of the window menu). When you open it, the Trace Path option will create a null which uses an expression to control the null’s position, which follows the path.

Off the top of my head, no, but seeing as you’ve already done it before, could you convert one of the longer words into a precomp and turn it into an Essential Graphic? (Or start with a fresh one)

You could have one text entry, but the EG would do all the work for you and you’d be able to reuse it multiple times in the same comp if needed.

Check out the Transform effect. It has position, scale and rotation and can be saved as a preset

In the Window dropdown, take a look at the script for Create Nulls from Paths. In there is a Trace Path option. If you have a path drawn out, you can use the script to which makes a null layer which will follow the path. You can keyframe this position. From there, you can have your circle and other animation parented to this null.

The beauty of this approach is you can go back and adjust your path at any time.

In C4D, take a look at the Landscape primitive. If you make it spherical, you’ll get a rock shape. If you then reduce the segments, that should give you a low poly.

You can either add text in C4D, or use null objects which can have their position information exported to After Effects.
