Are you absolutely certain you have previously imported AC-3 into Vegas?
“Vegas does not like mpeg2 at all.” Really? News to me . .
“Someone needs to look at mpeg2 and ac3 in vegas because there are major issues here” Not sure I’d call it a “major issue”? Again, if you go to Project Media and click on the Import Media Icon, do you see an option to import AC-3? – I don’t?
I think the alternative way of looking at this that MPEG2 may/can contain Audio or not. I have imported MPEG2 files that HAVE an audio strem included within the file, and I have imported MPEG2s that DON’T have audio as part of their file. But I can not import an AC-3? I wouldn’t call this a bug though?
If I am correct then it is more likely that Vegas doesn’t have the licencing to import AC-3.

I agree.
I don’t use Pi everyday. Nor every week! But when I need some “ooomph!” I know I have it available. I’m a complete convert.
I just want it to have wider Keystroke support so I can utilise my Contour Shuttle Pro better.

Might I suggest, if you don;t already posses one, and this is concerning your “find” of the frame<>frame editing – yeah?
“P.S. To reduce the number of times I need to zoom in, I added custom keyboard shortcuts: alt-left to go one frame left, alt-right to …. ” Get yourself a Contour Shuttle Pro (CSP) – marvellous!! It does MASSIVE scrubs and Frame by Frame creeps too.
CSP? Wouldn’t leave the house without it!

Actually John, maybe it is more than just that:

This could also indicate that he has removed the Preview Screen – itself? – Yeah?
And again . . “How do I get my preview screen back?”
So maybe it is also the replacing the Preview Screen:
1] View > Preview Screen CHECK
OR even
2] Keystroke: Alt+4
It could be 2 things happening, Mute AND an errant Preview Screen.
But I could very well be wrong?

Steve, might I ask just what it is you are trying to achieve. Meaning, the “Look”! What is it you are wanting to see ON the screen? A man walking on the Sea but he is coloured RED? Or are you wanting to see a Red Rose against a background of Grey or Black and White?
What is the “Look” you are after? – I do better with a sample . . .

We also have:
a) Decrease height of all tracks – Ctrl+Shift+Down Arrow
b) Increase height of all tracks – Ctrl+Shift+Up Arrow
c) Minimise all tracks – ‘
But, and here’s the thing, and don’t tell anybody else, but . . . if you have, say 3 tracks at different heights and you hit the ‘ they ALL minimise BUT if you hit the ‘ AGAIN, then the tracks go BACK to their previous 3 separate, individual heights.

Eh? I said this as an after thought, but without reading all the above, I was thinking that this MAY have been suggested above.
OK, using 4 tracks put the SAME Event in EACH Track.
Start with Track1 (T1), you can use Track Motion and position this Event (E1) in the top left hand corner. Now put E2 on T2 in the top right corner of Preview. Now repeat with T3 and T4.
By now you SHOULD have the same Event repeat in a Multi screen setup. So you can apply and try different Fxs and so on each and every one.
