  • . . or set up a Multi Screen using several Tracks. You can apply realtime Fxs and so on. I just threw together a 2×2 with a mix of Fxs on each Event.

    Has this been suggested?

  • Jill, I have BOTH playing on Loops!

Quite neat, actually. And having them Loop I can adjust an Fx in realtime and compare WHOLE moving frames with the pre- within the Trimmer and post within the Timeline Previewer.

So, Looping and Realtime Adjustment being seen in pre- and post- conditions simultaneously. And I have them set up about 10cms square directly next to each other.

    Phew! Good . . .

When you CHANGE something then a K/F will be added. That is why they are called a key frame.

    Glad you got it sorted.

Woah! This is a short long-shot, BUT, in the example of the one that isn’t responding, I can JUST see what looks like the appearance of a DOUBLE key frame just over the same point you are trying to adjust. E x p a n d the length of the K/F Timeline which is situated just under the adjustment box, or the MAIN timeline and see if you can identify a nearby “double” keyframe at the point where the “Cursor” is residing. If you CAN then delete it then come back with your results. My thoughts are that you are trying to adjust an overlying previously STATIC keyframe.

I’m hoping that this is the culprit. This is the problem with working on a very tiny area of timeline.

Bob! I can honestly say I have not seen anything like this . . . which doesn’t help you, but really, I haven’t seen this.

I have spent the last 60 minutes flicking back and forth, comparing both your procedures and attempting to locate a hint of user error. I truly can not see one. It is as if the TM alteration process is NOT updated in the Preview. Almost as if you are still operating the previous Project’s TM but in this one?!? Which, of course, is unthinkable!!

What I would like to see is the TM Keyframes being, or NOT being, created on the Main Timeline. Do you see these being created on either Project 1 or Project 2?

Very odd indeed. And I understand your dilemma completely. If something has got broken, then a Factory Reset may be in order. But before that – and that isn’t a big deal – let’s see if anybody else has “stumbled” on something that could lead to an obvious remedy.

Tell me, when you scrub up and down the timeline, does your Preview Update?

    Interesting . . . .

Y’know Devon, as soon as I read “AVCHD” I would have jumped on this as your culprit. PLUS your GenMeds <> Titer mixes too, but for the fact you say you are ok on your laptop with the same project and NOT on your QUADDIE!?? For this one reason alone I’d be looking at the management of your QUAD’s processing. There has to be something “odd” there.

Your lowlier, less/lighter-spec’ed laptop is doing better than your QUAD? That’s it, right there. Where are ACVHD files residing with your QUAD as a opposed to your Laptop?

It always helps if you supply some screen grabs of just exactly what you are doing. Is this possible?

  • ( . . apologies for butting-in . . but . . )

Jill, are you asking for a DUAL or 2 Preview screens that shows in ONE screen PRE and in the OTHER POST? Is that it? Vegas does not have 2 Preview screens. But, as others have said, you get to see within ONE screen (this is good for screen real estate!) the following:

    * Left or Right

    * ON or OFF of Fxs

    * OR – you might like this – left DRAG and you can manually select what part of the screen you wish to view

    * OR – use the “Copy to Clipboard” and us this to compare some part of the Timeline to that which is being revealed by the Cursor

But if I am correct, and having read and re-read your question/s, and that you are after 2 full Preview screens, then no, Vegas has not had this.

However, if you ARE after this, then the NEW Trimmer Feature will provide a workaround at “best” and maybe an annoyance at “worst”. Trimmer now has a Monitor option, and IF you open the Event in Trimmer you DO get the pre- Preview but in the main Timeline you can get the post. I can “place” the Trimmer window near to the Main Preview, adjust its size and shape and get 2 Monitors. Not ideal, and something of a workaround.

    Grazie
