Without actually seeing a Screengrab of the Events, it does sound like you have an initial CC Fx Keyframe at 00:00 within the Event. Check and see if the CC is changing over time.

I use MBL for getting an extra umph for my footage. It’s great for this. However, it is not real time, and as Johnny is suggesting, you need to have the T/L cursor already “resting” on a suitable, representative frame of the Event. If you know this already, then we’d need to be looking at another possibility that is giving you this black frame result.

Well, yes it is a pain, but I don’t think that that’s the end of it. Somebody needs to rigorously test this because having “identical” render templates achieve such, OR ANY, variation from VP8 to VP10 should be a concern.

    Wow! That’s like an extra 1mb in 10mb, 100mb in a 1,000mb and so on……

    What’s all that about?

How do you go about checking the VBR in the finished, rendered file?

[Larry Brewer] “Is this another Vegas 10 issue?”

    32-bit OS and 32bit VP10c here.

Well, I have read 2 reports on the SONY Forum, but for me it’s holding good. I’ve tried several MP3 template flavours, all good.

What Audio format are you rendering from? And what are your Project Settings? Not that it shouldmatter, but how long is your Event?

Something IS choking on something in there.

Cookie Cutter is an FX. and as such please check these two items:

1] You haven’t inadvertedly bypassed the FX on the Preview Screen Toolbar.

2] Confirm that CCUTTER is checked in the FX chain.
