Okay, now it’s BizarroWorld
I have a finished 30-sec. spot saved as a project. I deleted the guts of it and then re-saved it as a different named project. I replaced the old guts with new guts. On the top-most layer I had put a full-screen black, 10-frame TGA-with alpha file, doing a fade-in/fade-out at the start and end of the spot, then saved again. I closed Vegas, went out to dinner with my wife, then came back and opened the recently-saved new spot with the new name. The black TGA file with the fade-up/fade-out has now been completely replaced with a portion of some clip from some other layer from the original project from which I copied to make the new one.
I right-clicked and showed “properties” of the TGA black frame, and under “Video Event” it says “black” (duh), but under “General” it gives this whole description of some other bogus MOV clip from a different layer from the other (original) spot.
By the way, I deleted both occurances of the bogus fade file, replaced it with a new black frame TGA, re-did the fade and resaved the project… and it did it again.
Double-Yoo Tea Eff?!!
