Added to which Build 738, which finished in June 2011, has commented the following:

3.0 Known Issues VP10 738:-
If you have multiple Sony applications (such as ACID, Sound Forge, CD Architect, etc.) installed, uninstalling other Sony applications may cause your audio plug-ins to be removed from Vegas Pro. To restore your audio plug-ins, uninstall and reinstall Vegas Pro.

Now, and until somebody much wiser than I comes along, you could be looking at a reinstall of Vegas. The need for this may have come about as a result of crashes in one or two reboots and the fault is trying to rebuild that CRT thing – I dunno? OR you are running out of “space”!

What I DO know is that VP10 was a complete “mare” for me; VP11 was better and now VP12 is holding out. I use MXF files and edit them easily.

I see 3 Options for you:-

OPTION I:

If you now have the VASST Event Tool,

1] Selection Tab : Select All Events > APPLY

2] Adjustment Tab : Adjust Selected Event Length to 00:00:10.00 > APPLY

3] Transition Tab : Change the “Length” to ZERO > APPLY

All Stills will now be at 10 seconds.

OPTION II

If you DON’T have the VASST Event Tool and DON’T yet have your Stills on the Timeline,

1] Main Toolbar > Options > Preference > Editing Tab

2] And adjust “New Still image length ” to 10:-

Drag Stills to Timeline, job done!

OPTION III

If you ALREADY have Stills on timeline then create a Group of ALL the Stills and use the Ctrl+Drag method to stretch stills to the required length.
