  • Might indeed be a symphony problem. I’m running MC6.01 with the blackmagic Extreme 3d and having no such problem. Might a reinstall be in order?

yes, in fact im currently splitting my time between my office system and my home system. At the office I copy the project folder to my drop box folder…go home and open it directly from the drop box folder. Next time im in the office, copy it back from the drop box folder to my usual projects folder. Keeps a very current backup available, and makes the home system easy to use. I do of course have a copy of the media on drives at home for this to work.

Are your clips.out of.sync…or just playing out.of sync? in other words.is your.machine.just. struggling to kewep up..or has the relationship changed between the audio and the video…do some match framing.and.compare.timecodes.with your original insync clips

Also are you both at the same project settings?…try switching to 720 p instead of 1080 if that is where you are and see if your machine.can handle that.

That is essentially the whole idea behind doing a decompose.

When you do your decompose, simply tell it what kind of handles you want on the heads and tails of each clip. It will then create a new set of clips, that are offline (your originals will stay online) but those new clips will be broken up into the individual clips used to make up your sequence…including heads and tails.

If you had 1-30 minute chunk of video in offline, but only used 1 second of it in the edit, it will create a clip that is 1second long + what ever amount of handle you specified, and will ignore the other 29 mins and 59 seconds from the clip. Batch import or batch capture if coming off tape, and you can tell it what resolution to create the clips into this time.
