    Agreed.

If you’re gonna do it, try to do it well…if you can’t do that then try to cover up your mistakes really well.

Thanks Dave. I figured out the white fill part by accident 🙂 I have been doing it by hand and it’s slow work but at least it does work. Thanks again.

Looks like something called Live Trace is the way to go but I’m using CS. If anyone knows a nother way, please advise. Otherwise I think I’ll try extracting separate objects in Photoshop and bringing in the objects to Illustrator that way.

Thanks. I just figured out what I did. I switched from Invigorator Renderer thinking I’d get a better look. I switched it back and all is well. Thanks for taking a shot though.

Yes. Total Training is quite good. I sold my set on Ebay for about half price so you may want to look there first. There are also the Trish Meyers books that are the best . They should be available in Columbia as well as here. I believe they are called Compositing using After Effects. If you like to jump right in and start using it instead of doing a lot of reading first, that;s the way to go. Go with both the books and the Total Training. You can’t learn too much. Good Luck

As in the previous response, you’ll need to adjust the quality and size down to get the file size down for Internet usage. Look into the Squeeze option. It comes in very handy if you’ll be doing this a lot

It depends on your settings, what are your selections? I generally use the Animation setting and render as a Quicktime movie. THe size of your project can depend on your resolution as well. Are you setting to 320 x 240, 640 x 480, or much higher? Finally, despite your file size at this point, you can always look at using an app like Squeeze (from Sorenson) to convert to a size that is more appropriate to your needs. There are several presets for several uses.

Trapcode’s Shine does that as well if you have it.

My vote is for 3D stroke and lens flare, at least. 3D stroke allows for the duplication of a single stroke like you see. The rest is adjusted to taste.

That’s it exactly. Unless I misunderstand your dilemma, you really only need to create your TV in Invig to generate a 3D effect. The movie is in another layer that can be placed onto the screen. The movie layer would be above the invigorated tv screen. You should experiment with the setting to get a more realistic look. You don’t want it to look too unrealistic. You may want to have a hint of tv lines (there are tutorials on that all around (including Ayato’s site) ) to give it a more real feel. That’s my .02 Euros.
