Greetings all. Man, it’s been forever since I’ve been in here.

I am trying to cast shadows in Invig Pro but I get nothing. I looked up the previous posts and I’m already doing what is suggested. I am doing the following:

    1. Create 3D text
    2. Create a Primitive Plane (floor or wall)
    3. Turn on Cast Shadows and position the light
    4. I hit Command (Mac) and press the TEST key to see my shadow effect and I get nothing.

    5. I tried making the floor a Shadow Catcher and that didn’t help either.

Am I missing a step somewhere?

MacPro, Invig Pro 4.08 (Just downloaded the newer one), 4GB RAM

    Thanks in advance

    Glenn

    Hi Glenn,

The positioning of the object and the floor/wall is really important. This is usually what keeps users from seeing the shadows. You can try sending me the project file and I’ll take a look at your setup to see what you’re running into.

Thanks. I just figured out what I did. I switched from Invigorator Renderer thinking I’d get a better look. I switched it back and all is well. Thanks for taking a shot though.

If you’re gonna do it, try to do it well…if you can’t do that then try to cover up your mistakes really well.

No problem. Glad to hear that you were able to figure it out.

    Thanks for the update.

    Best,
    Edward
