    Hello.

Maybe the answer is very simple but I can’t seem to find it.

I’m making an animation and I would like to use an effect is saw in the title sequence of the movie Hard Candy. Ik you click on the URL you’ll see an screenshot of it with the effect I would like to create with After Effects 7.0.

Could anyone tell me how I get this effect? (the lines coming of the cube and the txt)

    Thank you for your time!

    Grtz. Charles

Apply the “CC Light Burst 2.5” effect to the layer. Adjust the center point as the “origin” of the light. If you want the color to be the same as the original, simply check the “set color” box and then use the eyedropper or color swatch to choose the color. In order to make the “light” appear to be coming from behind the object apply the “CC Composite” effect and uncheck the “RGB Only” box and choose the “In Front” for Composite Orginal. For a similar look, try the “CC Light Rays” effect instead of the the light burst effect. This one is especially nice when animated through text. I hope this helps!

Trapcode’s Shine does that as well if you have it.
