Hi Rob, just tried again. No go.

Full size wave (audio), no video, no handle to resize. Redocked… both audio/video appeared with sizing handle.

Another observation… when trimmer is undocked and I only see the wave, if I press the trimmer’s PLAY, then the video appears. it disappears again when I pause/stop.

Hi Rob,
Strange, I checked my prefs and the checkbox for “save trimmer regions…” was NOT checked. Yet, when I open my project, the regions are there.

Perhaps when the box is checked, they are actually saved in the clip (is this possible?) so when the media is inserted in another project, they come along?

next time it does, I’ll look for the resize you mentioned. It’s bound to happen again 😉

I agree.

Makes me wonder a bit about the level of testing that goes on before a release. Especially since this has gone on in a previous version. It doesn’t seem like an “obscure” bug to me.

I’ll definitely give it a whirl. I have purchased Ultimate S Pro but haven’t used it much. Luckily, John gave me a link to a quadcam tut.

I know Ultimate can do A LOT, but I haven’t’ found much documentation on how to use it. I could spend much time “playing” with it to learn it but I never seem to have that luxury.

The reason I need to crop/pan for this particular project is that it was a single cam event shoot (jazz band). I had very little options as to where to be located, low light, etc.

I’m hoping to crop/pan to add a bit of lateral movement to the shots and perhaps some zooms to add dynamics.

So, I’ll set my props to 720 and render at that res. (I hope I got it right).
