    Hey Tom,

Thanks for the referral at Adobe, I appreciated it.

I’ll give them a call, but based on the number of problems I’ve had so far with Premiere in the short time I’ve been working with it I’m a little hesitant to use them on any more projects, which is a shame because there are a lot of nice features there. Dynamic link isn’t working for me and I’m having tons of crashes in a very straightforward project on my Mac Pro.

    Cheers,

    Gerry

  • I’d feel a whole lot better about having paid $995 if I was using Resolve’s noise reduction, one of the features not available to Lite users. I’m still using Neat Video which I find has superior results.

    Cheers,

I’m working with Resolve so AJA isn’t an option.

I don’t want to turn this into an AJA vs. BlackMagic thread but I have to say I’be had a lot of positive experiences with BM support & am quite pleased with them. It would be nice if their manuals were more detailed, though.

    Cheers,

I’ve messed around with the settings quite a bit as well as called Blackmagic and the rep I spoke with suggested trying Creative Cow, haha.

My card has “Extreme” in the name, shouldn’t it be able to do that as well?

    Hi Christina,

Any resolution on your woes? I’m having similar frustrating inconsistencies burning blu ray with share. At first, no problem, then, inconsistent results and errors on playback.

    Cheers,

Thanks, Rafael. I think in this case it was a window out of place a bit. I apologize to my blackmagic card for jumping to conclusions.

    HI All,

Thanks for your suggestions! I’ve tried all of those things without success. Tried trashing prefs and repairing permissions for the hell of it and also have the same issue in a brand new project file.

The strange thing is that when working the sliders either by dragging them or using the scroll wheel the effect always updates instantly on the external monitor, albeit with a bit of latency.

Here’s the weird part of the behavior-If I drag one of the hue adjustments slowly it doesn’t update the external monitor. BUT if I grab one of the hue things and move it really fast to another section of the wheel it will update the external monitor. But of course when color correcting this is useless.

I’m working in Color all the time and never have any issues like this.

I have the snooty urge to blame the BM card, this never happened when I was on a Kona, but perhaps it’s some type of mouse thing?

    Any other thoughts?

    Gerry
