July 4, 2006 at 8:15 am in reply to: Possible to change the duration of several logged clips at once?Unless I’m mistaken the problem with the modify method is that the durations stay the same! ie. Any adjustment to an in point is compensated for at the outpoint.
This is great for creating offsets etc, eg compensating for delays if loading via a synchroniser or arc etc but won’t allow you to add handles at both ends!
If you consider the logic it makes sense, even with unlinked media Avid recignise that a chunk of media must have a finite duration which cannot be changed!
Unless you have access to an application such as phoenix, or are familiar with excel I’d stick to plan A!

lassoo the whole lot and alt drag to the seq monitor to build a seq of all clips, then decompose with handles whilst ensuring you tick the ‘allow extend beyond master clip edges’…something like that, not in front of machine at present, then batch digitise the decomposed clips instead of the origional log

How about an aston! No, only joking. If you have access to ae the numbers filter will do the job, with all the usual font variations.

clutching at straws but since no-one else seems to be offering – when you export qts I presume you tick the “use network adressing”(this isn’tthe wording but I’m not in front of a machine at pres… when you move drives from one machine to another there are instances when windows applies a new drive letter to external drives if they conflict with other drives, is it poss that differant drive letters have been applied to drives since you first made the qt references, hence qt failing to reference to the media since it is looking at an incorrectly lettered drive?

check your settings – drive filtering based on resolution etc

try – mount all in the file menu?

June 22, 2006 at 4:34 pm in reply to: Moved Project From Attic Folder To Projects FolderAs a by the way, you don’t have to change the extension, just copy the bin to anywhere outside the attic folder, and at the open bin dialogue select all files and then just select the appropraite bin(even though it may not look like one) and it will open.

add the dve move, then step in to the layer to add the animatte, then adjust the dve move again to suit??
-
Leave your origional shots on a lower layer, paste the sequence to a video layer above, Use the chroma key to select the color you need to adjust, (keep it quite soft) then collour correct the sequence/shot by alt adding a color correction then adjust to suit… you can still grade the rest of the shot at the bottom layer.
