Did you get the 2019 iMac? I am presently using a 2015 iMac, but I’m now considering the 2019 updated version. Just wondering what configuration did you choose and how you have found it. My most demanding requirement is to be able to edit UHD Slog or HLG H265 clips from a multi camera shoot and then export as H265.

I’ve been playing with it. Scopes coming this week. It would be very useful to be able to apply a custom LUT in the Basic page.

I have created an FCPX share preset using compressor, but if you don’t have compressor you could download ‘Handbrake’ (it’s free) to convert an FCPX Master ProRes file to H265. What version of OS and FCPX are you using?

Compressing to HEVC (H265) will save you a ton of space (and time up/down loading) eg. a recent 18.75 GB ProRes 422 HQ clip ended up as a 396.4 MB file.

I use ‘Wetransfer .com’ for such requirements. Converting to H264 or HEVC H265 will reduce file size and transfer time .

Not experiencing this problem in FCPX 10.4/High Sierra when importing from EX1r USB output.

What is the format of your photo in Lightroom? If it is RAW, then convert it to JPEG orTIFF and then apply correction to that before exporting a LUT.

Thanks for the reply.

It is not the monitor speaker routing from FCPX that i am referring to, but the channel configuration burnt on a 5.1 DVD. If I don’t route channels as per my earlier post then the DVD playback is incorrect.

I had two Lacie RAIDs fail; one after one month the other after nine. Now using a Promise 4 disk RAID, so far, so good!
