You can certainly move things around in 3D space using 3D track motion. When you rotate the video to the back side, it shows your image in reverse, though. You will have to have two planes (from two tracks)very close together in 3D space, then rotate them both together with a parent track.

Check the field order in the clip properites. If it’s upper field first, change it to lower field first.

I assume that you are needing to select the events.

Why do you need to do this? If it is to move the events en masse, then you can use the ripple mode without needing to select events.

You can do it if your button is one color by using highlight masking.

Vegas can’t instantly assemble an avi because it has to copy all those little ones and zeros from one file to another.

Vegas is unable to join up two or more Mpeg files without re-rendering them, which would probably be an unacceptable amount of compression.

You are best off rendering your Mpeg2 directly from your original project.

It’s a more thorough analysis of how the compression is to be applied.

I have not found it to make much of a difference (if any). However, results can vary quite a bit depending on the media you are working from. My suggestion is to render out five minutes worth of your program with and without 2-pass and see if you can tell a difference.
