You also have to delete the file from the project overview to clear the disc overhead.

In your situation, I would try renaming the original file (if you still need it), then name the revised file with the name the original one started as, so you “trick” the software into thinking it’s setting up the project with the same file.

20 Gigs of AVI is about 90 minutes.
I would guess a bit rate of about 6.8 MBps would be about right (depending on the content).

Put them on a track above, and if you cannot see the video through the background, right-click the graphic and in Properties>Media, change the alpha channel setting.

There are many free VST audio plug-ins available on the web. I bet you could turn up a pop or crackle filter if you looked around.

Just a guess, but horizontal banding is one result of having your video black level (pedestal) too low. What’s it look like on the waveform monitor?

You can drag out a fade on generated media just like any oher event. Just drag from the upper corner, then drop any transition you like onto the fade area.
