    Hi
Never really had the time to attend a convention until now. But which one is more suited to “us” with editing, audio and DV. There’s NAB (whatever that stands for) in April in Vegas. HA! Never even been to Vegas. Oh yea, Vegas Video, of course 😉

    Any insight?

There is no comparison between DV Expo and NAB. NAB is MUCH larger. If you’re traveling any distance to get there, the only answer is NAB.

NAB is HUGE and probably 80% of the booths you’ll have no interest !
takes a full day just to walk thru all of it and again most of it you’re just walking by unless you have interest in TV feeds , satillite feeds/lines, cable feeds etc lots of TV broadcasting related items as the name is NAB .. take a look at the manufacturers list to make sure the ones you want to see will be there …

DV expo will have more personal/hands on attention … you can do a 1 hr walk thru …

    Hi Gary, Ed & Allen,

I went last year for the first time and found it very interesting. Sony had the intro on “what’s new in Vegas6 and architect3” classes. The 10 sec. competition was great. I can’t forget the Fabulous Vegas Party and meeting with the entire Sony Vegas Team, SCVUG and editors from around the world. Plus, meeting the Great Team from Creative Cow at their booth. That hot sauce is dynamite, WOW!. I haven’t heard of anything big happening at NAB this year. What’s happening?
