Thre’s no built-in way to do this.
How about making whatever frame you want a background image of a menu page that is linked to show after the video segment? You can put a button, visible or not, on that page to continue.

You don’t need either of these. Just use the firewire I/O on your computer.

You can export the powerpoint slides as jpgs, but you loose any animation, timing, etc.
Best to play the presentation and capture it with a screen capture program such as Camtasia.Gary Kleiner

A .veg file (pronounced like “veg”atable) is a project file. This contains all the information about your project, e.g. how many tracks, what media is used, etc.
A script is an executable program that runs within Vegas to carry out one or more actions.

Set your Project Properties so Interlace is set to none (progressive). Set your preview to Best>Full. Hit the little floppy icon in the preview window to save.
Youcan do a whole bunch of them very quickly using Excalibur.

Have you tried to capture to a different drive (even the system drive)?
