Can anyone tell me how to make a DVD which first plays a short video chapter, then pauses on the last frame waiting for me to hit the “play” button (or something else) then continues to play the second chapter and so on to the end…?

I understand how to make a DVD with all my chapters, and then have each end back with the main menu, even automatically highlighting the next chapter ready for play, but that’s not what I want.

I’m trying to create a multi part movie that will accompany a presentation. While talking, the first segment will play and stop on the last frozen frame until the speaker is ready to continue, upon which they press “play” and the video continues where it left off. I do understand I must have my video segmented into the chapters, but I don’t know any way to freeze the last frame and automatically pause waiting for user input, then continue on command…

Thre’s no built-in way to do this.

How about making whatever frame you want a background image of a menu page that is linked to show after the video segment? You can put a button, visible or not, on that page to continue.

I had thought about that originally but couldn’t figure out how to do it.
    Submenus? Scene selection menu?

Right-click in project overview and Insert Menu.
