    It’s a long route to take, but you could build your menu, capture it as a jpeg, then build the transition into the start your media.

    Back when I had a laptop without a numeric keypad, I added one (Targus USB) and it worked fine with Vegas.

    Try applying EQ to the track (there are several to choose from including the default already there). You can listen as you make adjustments.

    Does the camera have a line level audio input? If so,just run the sound board audio through there.

    you go to the head of that clip. goto out = going
    to the end of that clip.”

    If the event is selected, use 7 and 9 on the numeric key pad. This puts it in trim mode which goes away if you do something else or hit 5.

    If the track is selected, Alt/Ctrl/Arrow moves to the event edges.

    The Secondary Display mode in Vegas 6 expands the preview to full screen.
