    Hi Everyone,

Since I got great help last time I came here, I thought I’d try again. I’m using the default colors for my text buttons in my menus for DVD Architect 2, and they look great on my computer, but look flickery or shaky when I play them on my set top dvd player on my tv. Anyone have any insight on how to get rid of this flicker?

    Thanks,
    steven

The reduce flicker feature for menus was introduced ib DVDA3.

Otherwise, try and avoid thin horizontal lines, including some serif-type fonts.

Ok, I have updated my version of DVD Architect to 3.0a. I assume you are referring to the reduce flicker interlace option, correct? Also, does it matter whether the end action for the menu is set to hold or loop? I mean this in general. There doesn’t seem to be a difference to me but maybe that’s just because my menus involve stationery images with a looped audio playing in the background. Would the hold option only be if you had motion video menus and you didn’t want to restart the animation portion of the menu? I would be interesting to know for future reference.

Thank you for your help, I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Hold plays your audio file once. Loop plays it over and over.

The flicker remover didn’t do a lot. The whites are glary, and shaky looking. I try to change the white to a 235 value for broadcast safe but it didn’t help.
