I recently installed a second monitor for previewing though I cannot seem to get it to work. Any ideas? I am running Vegas 4.0e, XP Pro w/ SP2, ATI Radeon 9800xt graphics board, Samsung SyncMaster 213T w/ DVI-D interface and Samsung 730B w/ analog interface.

    Thanks

Upgrade to Vegas 6. Vegas 6 added the ability to preview to a secondary monitor.

Rae you saying that you haven’t been able to extend the Windows destop onto the second monitor, or that you can’t get the Vegas Preview over there?

Ed, could you clarify something for me.

With my dual monitors, one of my desktop layouts is to have the right hand monitor exclusively for preview, and I’ve used it this way since V4.

What does the additional function in V6 do compared to this?

    Thanks.

The Secondary Display mode in Vegas 6 expands the preview to full screen.

Vegas 6 uses the second monitor as a full display as Gary said. They way you are doing it, you simply have a second monitor onto which you moved the preview window which will definitely work in all versions of Vegas (including 6).
