[tyler Granlund] “How do you deliver masters? Impossible to believe all clients are accepting digital deliveries, unless you are extraordinarily lucky. “

I have to deliver dailies and content to HDSR regularly.

No one I work with has deliver a camera tape to me since Transformers DOM in 2010 and that was the first time in over a year.

Being that I deliver to HDSR tape, I have not ever used FCP to lay to back to tape as the colorspace and gamma issues in FCP7 / SL were pitiful.

I have used Aja’s VTRX app to capture as DPX sequences and return that back to the deck for Masters, so my process has always had a disconnect as you mention.

    [Steve Connor] “No drivers yet!”

It is my understanding that BMD will have some of their drivers available later today.

[tyler Granlund] “..Edit to tape in 10.0.3?”

    nope.

Apple made it clear they were going to leave that functionality for others makers to solve with the inital release last year.

because of the types of workflow I work on, I have not captured within FCP for a couple of years now.

[Steve Connor] “I’m feeling hopeful that an update will be coming soon, but there again I’m an optimist, as an FCPX user you have to be.”

Have you loaded the most current drivers for the IOExpress and made sure that the firmware was updated?

I am not sure that motherboard is supported, have you contacted tech support?
