September 6, 2015 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CS6 HDV Capture crashes when playback engagedHi Declan,
Sorry to resurrect this old thread (while the world moved on to Adobe CC), but I was wondering if you found a trick to capture HDV tape on Premiere Pro 6.5
It might be time, to update to CC in the end. Just curious.
Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the reply!! I wanted to to change its position after I animate it with the pins. To explain it better, I have a vertical bar with three pins top-mid-bottom.
1. I animated the middle pin so now the bar is bent in the middle
2. As it is now (bent) I would like to change its position. Now that I am thinking, precomping would solve this, right?
thanks!!

Dan!!
What an honor to actually have the script creator answer you back! Thank you!
Got it. And thanks for the new updated script! Indeed that one looks more realistic.I would dare asking you a question along sides this:
How would you add a dashed line trailing the trajectory of the bouncing ball?
thanks much again!

Now that you are telling me, yes indeed the shots are all different so a global track would make no sense.
thanks for clarifying that!Gabi

Brilliant, Ted!
Many thanks!!! Yes – I am familiar with DUIK’s tools. I mainly used them for inverse kinematics (walking, etc.) but never for other stuff.
Should be exciting. Here’s the result (only one blink at the beginning of the vid):

Tudor!
Thank you! This is very clever.
So, I got this far:
1. Centered the wheel layer anchor points and duplicated it 2 more times.
2. Arranged the 3 wheels and pickwicked each of their rotation property to the null’s rotation property. When I rotate the null they are spinning nicely around their axes.
I got stuck here:
– How to spin the 3-wheels group around the center axis
– where to place the loopOut(“offset”) to loop the animationthanks!

Ok, folks I managed to have this working… partially:

I am using the loopOut(“offset”) on each wheel’s rotation property with two keyframes set at the beginning and end of time (0 degrees and 359 respectively).
The problem is that the wheel that should actually follow the logical group movement is not spinning if I set a negative rotation degree on the end keyframe.
All the others are spinning happily but… in the wrong direction.
I am subcomping the group of three wheels, and then each wheel separately.
One interesting aspect is that in the wheels group subcomp the problem wheel is spinning just fine.
It’s in the main comp where I use loopOut(“offset”) on the wheels group subcomp rotation the problem wheel with the negative rotation is stuck. Thanks!

Good point Kris!
It might be overkill, but it sure comes in handy when the customer says that they want a different color text 🙂
Thanks!
