I use a free light software… “Remux”. It convert mts file in .mov without any recompression and fcpx manage those files without problems. 🙂

I came from VelocityQ NLE and using FCP7 I seemed to have taken a step back. With FCPX seems to have made 5 steps forward.

Hi Tom, the project size is 960×720 25p. I tried with a still image 1280×720 png, with a 960×720 and even with a clip of the same project… Always the same result.

Of course… you can do any project that you want … select and copy all clips and paste them in your final project. You can use “Compound clip” if you prefer

I have the same problem. Sometimes I use a simple “Rename” program to change the files name in Scratch “Original Media” folder. If someone knows another way…

Oh yes… you can add keyframes with keyboard shortcut!
Select the audio level line than press Option+K.
That’s all. 🙂
