  • “save current frame” not working

It just says “waiting,” with the little diagonal lines moving in the status bar. Stays that way for several minutes. I’ve tried saving different frames in different projects, and saving to different drives, but still the same problem. I have plenty of RAM and room in my drives and have not had this problem before. Please help!

How big/complex is your project? I’ve noticed that FCPX needs to do some kinda of calculation concerning the entire project to export a screen grab using the “save current frame”. I have a project with missing assets and it gives me a warning about that issue even though I’m no where near the missing footage.

I know it’s a huge pain, but see if you can isolate the clip you want on a new project and see if helps.

I just do Shift-Apple-4 grabs now unless I need a 1080 grap for publication of some sort.
