    Hi,

when I drop my file in compressor, apply and tweak a template, then press the submit button,
it opens (just like in Compressor 3) the little grey window, that asks for confirmation (“submit”) to start render or cancel. Weird enough, suddenly, when using compressor, the Submit button is greyed out and cannot be chosen, only the cancel button. Any idea, why that is?

Yes, your system has lost itself as a usable render cluster. This is a new and fun trick that it’s pulled on me a few times, and the only thing I can find to clear it is a restart, WITHOUT having it relaunch the last windows. Ugly bug.

[Sascha Engel] “the Submit button is greyed out and cannot be chosen, only the cancel button. Any idea, why that is?”

I’ve had this problem for a long time with the old Compressor 3. Before each Compressor session, I have to run the app “Compressor Repair”, which I believe is a free download. I tried other fixes in the past, but nothing worked for me. This is just part of my encoding routine now. One of these days I’ll pick up Compressor 4 and see if the problem is still there, but it sounds like it is for you.

What do you mean by “without having it relauch the last windows”?

Sometimes I have your problem and I have solved it opening the “Share monitor” icon on the right up corner. Open… close and it start works again.

    Hi Frank,

thanx, that is what I figured out as well now.
    Worked for me too.

Hope that stays the only big with the new software.
