Thank Mark, I hope in the next release will be included, on the clip thumbnail in the browser, a mark that show immediatly the clips used in timeline so you are able to know which clip is already used during editing… without select more options in the browser menu. I am confident they will do a good job

Thanks to everyone, but I think that Mark’s solution is great. The boring thing is only that you have to select clips one by one or you know a trick for that? 😉

Hi Timothy, the “currentVersion.fcpproject” is 11,3Mb and the “CurrentVersion.fcpevent” is 15,3Mb. The strange thing is just opened the project it works fine but after a few minutes it slow down. Just scrolling the timeline is slow and often when apply a filter appear the rolling colorized circle icon. If I quit fpcx and reopen… it works fine for other few minutes.

Thank you Timothy, so the best way to apply effects from other software is: 1) Reveal in Finder the clip. 2) Make a copy. 3) Import in AE. 4) Modify and apply effects. 5) Save and import in FCPX. 6) Replace the clip. Right?

Thanks Tom, but I was wondering… why Final Cut rename the file that I’ve imported in AE without have made any change or overwriting? It seems that when FCP realize that an its file has been used by another software, it change the name adding (fpc1). Strange stuff… what do you think?

  • Hi, I’ve solved the problem using smooth setting and dragging the handle toward the line of the movement. In this way you can modify the distance of the frames. I hope to be clear. This is only a stopgap measure, I think it should be improved by adding maybe even 3D rotation.

Hi Bill, thank for your answer. I wrote this because my old editing system “VelocityQ” works in that way. When you drag the start or end point you hear audio. Fantastic…isn’t it? In final cut x if you select “Blade” tool and drag long the clip… you hear the pitch corrected audio and I was just wondering why you couldn’t do with the start or end point as my old software do.
Hi Nick, I’m working in that way now but if you have other audio clips in that point, skimmer tool play all audio tracks and you are bound to mute other audio tracks… wasting time. That’s all 🙂
