I had no problems re-encoding the file to various formats, using Sorrenson Squeeze 4.2 under Windows XP. I’ve uploaded a sample (smaller than original) .wmv file to your ftp server. Other formats I succeeded in re-encoding to were .mov and .swf.

What codec was used to compress the original clip? If you’re not sure, download Gspot to check it.

    Felipe,

What software/program are you using to convert your movies (to quicktime animation codec), prior to importing into A.E.?

[Dave LaRonde] “And don’t export, render using the Render Queue.”

…sounds like a candidate for “Stock Answer #2”, LOL.

I’ve seen the same rotation used in a number of commercials, and I’d have to say they were done in a 3D application.

By the way, the “up and down sides” are usually called “ends” (just teasing).

If the corner of the building is in the center of the video screen (even screen width on each wall), you could use a mesh warp with 1 row and 2 columns. When you move the points of the grid, be sure to drag the bezier handles back to the points (otherwise you’ll have curved sides). Position and scale your footage before applying the mesh warp, then tweak these later.

Wouldn’t it be easier just to position your photos equidistant in front and behind the camera (on the z axis), then rotate the camera?

I also use Firefox and by using the “Unplug” extension, I was able to open the controller.swf in a new tab. However, as Brendan pointed out, the playback was jerky and stuttering. And, yes, they appear to be just variations of the same style/theme.

I assume, due to Brendan’s note about I.E. having no problems (apart from the stuttering/jerkiness), that you designed your site for compatibility with I.E. (known not to conform fully to W3C standards). By designing for I.E., and ignoring other browsers, you’re excluding a large potential audience. It’s also akin to saying, “I approve of and support Microsoft’s arrogant disregard to standards and their right to be a law unto themselves”.

Fix the browser compatibility and bitrate issues, so we can make a fair assessment of your work.

    Dave,

Your “Stock Answer #1” has been needed a lot lately. Possibly, a result of the inability of some people to operate the search function on “The Cow”?

Can’t help but wonder, how many “Stock Answers” do you have? LOL.

[Kieran Hood] “I plan on having the little video shot and up on youtube in the next week.”

Looking forward to seeing the results.
