Try using two instances of simple wire removal, one for each diagonal line. You may need to apply one instance, pre-compose, then apply the second instance.

You’d also be proof that internet service providers have established a market in the afterlife. 😮

[robert reed] “I downloaded the demo and found it to be buggy like nearly all the Digital Anarchy applications.”

Yes, I found it to be a little buggy.

Hey, aren’t you the father of the Brady Bunch? LOL.

Did you save this image with an alpha channel (transparency)?

If so, you might find the Puppet Tool useful. Other than that, I’d try the various distort/warp effects.

Sorry, that should have read, “Create a new, black solid (comp size)”.

You can get a similar effect with the standard effects. Your preferred settings may vary from those I’ve used, but this’ll get you started.

Create a new, back solid (comp size) and apply effects > generate > cell pattern.
Set the cell pattern to “bubbles”, contrast to “600”, disperse to “0.0”, size to about “6.0”. Leave everything else at default. (Try different cell patterns and overflow settings)

Pre-compose the layer, then scale to 125% on the X-axis and 300% on the Y-axis.

Place the layer above your footage layer and use it as a luma track matte.

The result isn’t exactly the same, but quite similar. Hope this helps.

  • You could always try the “Mr Ed” technique.

Place a large “glob” of peanut butter in the mouth of your puppy. Shoot the scenes of the puppy trying to get the peanut butter off his tongue and inner cheeks.

My plugin of choice for this sort of effect is ToonIt, from Digital Anarchy.
