Thanks. Yes that helps.I guess if I am doing large compositing with many different elements, it would be best not to render with fields on while rotoscoping. Or rotoscope what I need first (in 59.94) render it and then bring it back into my composite.

    -Thanks.

I use Phillips. So far, no bad burns. I am using a PC though with a Sony DVD-+RW burner.
Phillips created the disc technology, so who better then them?

Firstly, do a ‘remove unused footage’ to get rid of everything you are not using. then, open the comp you want to keep and do a ‘reduce project.’

remember to do a ‘save as’ immediatley afterwards so you dont save over your original project.

Hey Jerry, Thanks again for your help.

Do you know if driver 1.1.1 is acceptable when you are using Panther and FCP 4.5HD? I thought that 1.1.1 was released for users with Tiger/FCP5.

    Any info is appreciated, Thanks.

check to see if your compositions are square or non-square pixels. they must match.

    thank you steve.

that seems like the most logical way around this problem. I am trying to confirm the issue with AJA to see if they have info on it. Ill post any results I can get from them.

    Thank you Advres,

Yes, repairing the permissions with Cocktail fixed the crashing problem, however, the filters show a ‘X’ over the footage when they are applied (like it is in a demo mode.) Does anyone know where i can apply my serial number to have it working in full mode? I already checked options in the filter pallette.

    Thanks again for your help.

    hi advres,

thanks for your reply. the crashes happen whether it is new or old, regardless if i have open gl on or off. i am working in 8bit projects. the computer repsonds with 2 messages…

After Effects error: crash occured while invoking effect plug-in “BCC-Brightness Contrast.”
The application Adobe After Effects 6.5 has unexpectedly quit.

It does not matter which Boris plug-in I use. All other plugins work fine (3rd party included).

Strange, isnt it? Im trying to get some info from Boris Inc. If I figure it out, Ill post the results back here.

    Thanks. Frank R.
