Dont know if this would help but go into the Io control panel and check to see what the composite black level is set to. There are two choices, switch it and see if that works.

Absolutely! Have a look at the different capture presets available. Make sure to check the little box that says “show all” when you go to easy set ups. If you are coming in via SDI from the digibeta you could capture at DV which will save a ton of space but reduce quality or you could also capture as DVCPro50 which will give you more quality but take up a bit more space. If you want to work out your storage capabilities go to the AJA website to the support page and download their free storage calculator. It has just about every configuration you can think of.

Yes you can! Depending on what capture device you have, you will be able to digitize at different resolutions. For instance if you have an AJA Io you would be able to capture to DV resolution if you wanted to save space. Then you could online later at 10 bit uncompressed as long as your tapes have timecode and you log and capture correctly.
