Make it NON-Journaled or you will probably be back in a week asking why you are getting dropped frames. Just keep your project file on the system drive and your media on the external drive.

I suggest you read appendix C of the FCP manual to get a better undertanding of anamorphic video. -

You definitely didn’t make yourself clear. From your first post you said “I’m shooting a corporate on HDV”. That would imply you are using a HDV camera to shoot. If you are using the helicopter camera and it is equiped with a Digibeta machine it would seem most likely that the camera on the gimbal is a standard def camera with an SDI output connected to the digibeta deck. Maybe you need to talk to the chopper company and see if they have the capability of shooting in HD. Or check out a company like this.

I think you’ve nailed it down. Check with the apple website for compatibility. I am sure that the comination of your OS, QT and FCP versions is what is causing your problems.

On most mixers when you have the speakers being fed from the control room outputs and you plug a set of headphones into the headphone out jack, it automatically mutes the control room output to the speakers. You may have to call tech support at behringer and ask them if this mixer is supposed to do that.

Try pluging the speakers into the “control room outs” then plug the phones into the “phones jack”. The main outs will be empty. Now try and have the mains volume up and the control/phones volume up and see if the headphones are getting sound. -
Could this be the 6 line difference between DV NTSC of 480 lines and SD NTSC of 486 lines?

That board has a multitude of different outputs. So you could do as I said in my last post or you could take the subgroups 1 & 2 out to feed the speakers and use the main outs for the broadcast. You would just have to make sure you have the groups 1 & 2, as well as the mains button, selected on each channel strip.
