  • Hi Jaimie

The only difference between the two is that the slider will take you from 0db to 12db and the volume envelope will only take you from 0db to 6db.

The envelope allows for a finer adjustment.

    Hi Mark

I regularly run both instances (V13 & V14) on my Win 10 machine. No issues here. I would look for a Windows issue. Have you made any changes, added new software, updates, others….. ? There may lie your problem.

A regular clean-up of your PC is always recommended. Windows is known for accumulating ”crap” as time passes. If that fails, do a clean uninstall of your VPro‘s and re-install. If that also fails, after you have tried everything else, back-up everything and do a clean install of your OS. (had to do that once with V7 way back…)

    Cheers !

    Hi J.R.

Are sure/positive that it’s not part of the template ? Do you have the same problem if you use another effect beside TV Simulator ?

Send me a link to your template and I’l see if I can duplicate the problem.

    Cheers!

    Hi Jack

The problem seems to be with the way your Canopus communicates with your computer. Make sure that the hook-ups are correct. I have included a link to a user manual for your Canopus in case you (or any others coming here) need to do some troubleshooting. Have a good read, even the best of us miss something…sometimes. (Don’t forget about those pesky hard to read dip switches, page 16)

    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/71386.pdf

Once you will have solved your communication problem with your computer, Vegas should recognize it straight off.

P.S.: When you get it working (and it will) please come back and let us know how you did it, so that the next person can benefit.

    Cheers !

    Hi Jack

This is definitely not the best explanatory video but it will tell how to get to device manager in Win 7.

    Hi Jack

I will assume that your are running Win 10.

Go to Start/Settings/Devices and under Other Devices your Canopus should be showing.

    Hi Jack

First thing to check, is your OS recognizing the Canopus ‘cuz if the OS is not seeing the Canopus then no software will.

When your done checking, please post machine and OS specs.

    Hi Tucker

Happy to know it all worked out. Just out of curiosity, did you also modify the profile or only use CPU rendering ?

Could be helpful info for the inquisitive passerby…

    Hi John

Which render template are you using, MainConcept or Sony ?

MediaInfo on your original file and your render settings would be useful.

    Hi John

Long shot, but it may help. Maybe your files are there but just not visible. Try these steps and then go back to your auto-save folder.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you…
