  • Is there a difference between adjusting the volume slider and adjusting a volume envelope?

Aside from affecting the whole track vs specific parts, is there any difference between the two? Do they both affect the volume, or does one affect the gain? If I lower the volume slider to -5.0 dB, will it sound the same as lowering the envelope to -5.0 dB?

No, there’s no difference. I often adjust both.

    Hi Jaimie

The only difference between the two is that the slider will take you from 0db to 12db and the volume envelope will only take you from 0db to 6db.

The envelope allows for a finer adjustment.

    Cheers !
