Just to add to Graham’s comment, follow this Wiki link. It will give you the details on the inner workings of FFMpeg.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FFmpeg

Soon, you’ll be a crack at making any files compatible. As a foot note, it helps to have all the vid files with the same frame rate, type, etc… especially when rendering.

    Cheers !

    Hi Sean

The reason for me asking for post of MediaInfo of your file is that there may be something in the file data that will get some of us on track to finding a solution to your problem. Sometimes it is not that obvious. There could be something in there (your file) that is making it borderline compatible/readable.

…and if you are referring to the other red area, it means that you should take a break from editing and spend some time with the person that evidently left a sign that she loves you…

    Hey Tom

Just to add to John’s comments, in order to keep your end user(s) happy about a ”stereo voice”, use two mono microphones. Even if they are of the same make and model, their responses will be different thus if your final output is graphically viewed by the end user, they will see slight differences in the waveform pattern. Make sure that they are not to different !

Did that a while back for a picky client and it past muster.

    Cheers !

    Hi Alex

Well that’s what it does in your example…or close, it actual fact, there is a camera pan on top of the blackened effect. At least you got some options out of it.
