Hi Jreyden
If you go to Option/Preferences/Video tab, what is the number for the Dynamic Ram Preview and what is the maximum available.
Is GPU Acceleration on or off ? What is your GPU ?
What type of computer are you running Vegas with ?
Cheers !

Hi Paul
Just starting to get the hang of VP 16’s colour scheme. Didn’t notice that the audio track was selected. My bad.
You helped me figure it out when you asked for the media. For some reason it didn’t like the .MXF file format. Tried an .MP4 and it worked.
Thanks again for your time Paul ! I really appreciate it !
Cheers !

Hi Mohammad
The Plugin you are using is in trial mode. It lets you see the result of applying the effect but it will leave lines until you purchase that specific Plugin.
Cheers !

Hi Paul
Thx for the tip ! It’s not working for me and I tried quite a few times. Everything seems to go thru the motions but Sinbad is not following. Out of 8 tries, I got this error message on my last try.
Suggestions ?
Cheers !

Hi Paul
No problem with Chroma Key. I think I worked with the guy that invented it… back in the 30’s LOL
I’m still trying to work out the tracking thing.
Cheers !

Hi Eric
Just a shot in the dark here but, could it be a bad cable? Something hardware related ? I did muck around with some files back when and I found, in that instance, that it was a bad cable.
Unfortunately we tend to skip over the obvious culprit(s)…..
The more you become knowledgeable, the more you tend to disregard the basic stuff and go for the complicated solution.
Cheers !

Hi Ridvan
Just a shot in the dark here but it looks like you are using an older model Webcam that records in .AVI . Am I right ?
If so, you may want to try taking that file and convert it to another format like Mpeg or WMV with a constant bit rate.
Handbrake is a free software that will allow you to convert in a bunch of formats and it does work really well.
Let us know how it worked out.
Cheers !

Just to add to Paul‘s comment, are you using the onboard soundcard or a dedicated separate soundcard ? Onboard’s are notorious for low quality compared with a proper soundcard. Also, make sure that you have the proper driver for your motherboards sondcard, not the generic Windows one.
let’s start with that.
Cheers !

Hi Brett
You’re not really on the proper forum but here’s how I clean the video heads on my tape decks. Regardless of model, if it has this type of recording drum, this is how you do it. In the linked video, he is using isopropyl alcohol. I myself prefer using acetone. Your choice. I find that acetone works much better but you have to be very careful.
Word of caution: Do not touch anything plastic or rubber with the acetone It will melt the plastic on contact. The head part however should be completely made out of metal.
Here’s what you will need supply wise:
-Kimwipes
-Acetone
-Q-Tips (but only the one’s made out of cotton and wood, on account of the acetone. Nothing synthetic…)
-A steady handThe gents in the video are cleaning a VHS head but the basic principal is the same.
The head cleaning part starts at 7:05
Make sure you do not go up and down with your Kimwipe. The only thing moving should be the drum. If not, you will severely damage the heads.
Notice that later on, he’s rubbing the drum with the cloth but he is making sure that the heads are no where near.
