So I normally import raw MTS files recorded off my canon g20 camcorder, I then edit the project and the save the master as a M2T file using

MAIN CONCEPT MPEG-2 HDV 1080-60i template

that gives me the highest quality master possible which is what I’m looking for before I then encode to mp4.

Today after the render I am getting square pixels running diagonally down the screen from left to right, this is happening throughout the video, these artifacts are not present in the raw video.

Using a laptop to do the rendering with a dedicated video card, no issues until today. Have rebooted etc..

    Hi Eric

Just a shot in the dark here but, could it be a bad cable? Something hardware related ? I did muck around with some files back when and I found, in that instance, that it was a bad cable.

Unfortunately we tend to skip over the obvious culprit(s)…..

The more you become knowledgeable, the more you tend to disregard the basic stuff and go for the complicated solution.

    Cheers !

So I seem to have this issue with more than one video but not the majority of them, since the raw files appear to be ok when viewed it doesn’t appear to be a cabling issue

    eric,

Have you tried GPU acceleration ‘On/Off’?

Did Windows update your GPU drivers? If so, fall back to the previous.

Have you performed a full reset to your Vegas Pro?

    Best Regards……George
