You should first work with your 4K clips on what needs to be done and when finished render it to the same render format as your 1080 clips.
Open a new session with your 1080 clips and import your rendered 4K clips. edit and package it. Done !

First you have to make sure that the clips from your phone are of a constant bit rate, not variable. Vegas doesn’t like variable bit rates.
What I would do is if you have to zoom in on your 4 K clips is to work on those first, do your thing and then when you’re done, render to the same format as your clips in 1080, open a new project, import your rendered clip, add your 1080 clips and then use Match Project Settings in Render. Depending on the final use of your video. render accordingly (examp: DVD=Mpeg2)

Ole is one of the most knowledgeable contributor on this forum and has graciously shared his knowledge and experience over time. I will assume here that you didn’t understand his reply.
If you had taken the time to do a quick search about ”Smart Rendering” (as mentioned by Ole) in the Help/Contents and Index of your version of Vegas Pro ….. you would be a happy camper by now.

I don’t think that the .PNG is the culprit. We would have to know if all of your video files on the timeline(s) are of the same source, what type (not just the container), what are the FX you’ve added, filters, etc…

I am curious to know why that clip can’t be re-recorded, either by yourself or someone else.
You could technically get rid of most of your noise but it would take so much time to do that it wouldn’t economically sound and worth the time and effort to do it unless you had a clip of, let’s say, Shakespeare reading Hamlet…
And for others reading this post at some point, I can’t stress enough the importance that your audio, all and any of it, has in the final ”look” of your project. I’ve seen too many great visual stories wither because of sub-par audio quality, bad music track choice, wrong voice for the narration, poor delivery, etc…
Choose your material according to your recording environnement. Whether it be microphones, recording unit, pop and wind screens, etc… If you’re going to spend all that time on making it look good, make sure that your audio won’t distract your viewers and send them running after 2 seconds.

I don’t think you’ll be able to save this. It over-modulated to much when it was recorded. I tried running it thru 3 different audio software and while I could reduce the crackling by a smidge, it altered the voice too much. If it had been the other way ’round, one could perform some magic. But in this case, you need a miracle. My best advice is to re-record making sure to keep a close eye on your recording levels meters.

It would seem that any version of Windows running at 64bits doesn’t like your Tascam US-122 MKii.
Import your audio via a computer running the OS at 32bits. Save your audio and take that file to your 64bit machine.
You should have no more snap, crackle and pops. Those happen during the transfer.
As a footnote, make sure you have the latest firmware:

Hi Cindy
We sometimes get comments about other NLE software being better or worse that others. Some are fiercely adamant about how everybody should be using ”XYZ” over anything else. NLE software are just tools and like any tool, you choose the one you are most comfortable with and best suited to your task. I have and use three different ones; Vegas Pro, Hitfilm and DaVinci Resolve. Those get me thru everything that gets thrown at me.
By the way, Hitfilm and Resolve have free versions. Try them out some day.
