Then I would guess that either your card placement of your boards inside the Mac is not correct, or that your PCI Express lanes are not set up correctly.
What kind of Mac and board do you have?

Are your drives fast enough? Media 100 HD codec in 1080 is around 150MB/sec. Do you have the ProRes codec installed? Try rendering into ProRes to see if this is a drive performance issue.

I have done some additional tests on the audio issues you are seeing/hearing. One area of problem could be that you are sending your RCA out to a consumer-level device. As far as I can tell there have been some changes to the Aja audio out drivers, and it seems like the levels could have changed there. But as far as I can tell the system is now outputting the same level as e.g. FinalCut on the RCA outs. If you have a way of e.g. hooking up your RCA out to a peakmeter or anything else you can do to check your levels on your RCA out it would be great to get these additional informations from you.

Apple did some changes to their PPC/G5 code in one of the OS updates, which caused V13 to get into a spinning beachball mode sometimes. The Media 100 guys did work around these changes for the 13.0.1 update. So if you are really running V13.0 (especially on a G5) you should upgrade to V13.0.1.

Can you post a little bit more details about the crash? Have you tried doing the conform with the media files offline?

You can use the “Apply ColorFX to all clips” command, if you know how to use it 😉
Select all the clips you want to adjust in your timeline. Double-click one of the clips, and set it to the color settings you want to use, e.g. to Standard color. Then choose “Apply ColorFX to selected Clips” from the Tools menu. Btw, this also works with Audio Effects and Clip Effects. -

That is not true. Color reads the media files from the XML, with a path to the media files written in the XML. There are various reasons why you could get offline clips in Color: first, do you have Color and Media 100 on the same system? The XML exchange works with absolute path names, meaning that it Color looks to a specific directory on a specific HD for its files. If you moved the media files e.g. to a FireWire drive, the XML exchange will not work as expected.
Second, are your media files in a Codec which is supported by Color? Color is not a QuickTime application as you know it, but it is build for some selected QuickTime codecs. All the Media 100 codecs are not supported by Color, so if you have a clip in a Media 100 i or HD codec in your timeline Color cannot read it. I HIGHLY would recommend only working in ProRes or 4:2:2 Uncompressed when trying to do anything with Color, and to keep your timeline very clean and restricted to only one codec.I am currently writing on a Media 100 to Color tutorial, and I hope to have it finished in the next couple of days. I will release the video tutorial covering the basic Media 100 to color exchange as soon as it is done.

The “Stereo Mix“ option recreates the way the “older” version worked, exporting Bus 1 as your stereo mix. If you want to export one of the other buses, you can use the “Export Buses as separate tracks” function, which will give you a quicktime with multiple stereo audio tracks, one for each bus. In QuickTime player you then can easily delete the unwanted buses/tracks for this clip.

I did a test on a 10.4.11 system with the AE XML importer component from V13.0.1, and it does not work on my system as well. So it seems like the new component is only working with 10.5.x. Most likely you could still use the older version with 10.4.11 and XMLs exported from V13.0.1, though.
