So you have SD 4:3 clips? And they are interpreted as 4:3? You can check that either in the Bin List view under “Aspect Ratio”, or by Right-clicking on your clip in the Bin and selecting “Change Media Attributes”. If it is set to 4:3, you should be able to drop it into a 16:9 timeline (HD or SD), and it will show up as cropped, taking the center out of the image. If you then double click the clip in the timeline to load it into the Edit Suite, you can access the “Motion Editor” from the “ClipFX” part of the Edit Suite window (or select the clip in the timeline, and go to the Tools->Motion Editor Menu entry.
In the Motion Editor, you will see three icons that somehow look like keyholes in the lower tools row. Select the leftmost one; then you will see the green area which is taken out of your 4:3 image. If you want to use the full height of your 4:3 image, leaving black borders left and right, you can use the “Fill Height” button on the left hand side. If you switch to the middle “keyhole” button, you will see your resulting image. Press ok, apply the effect and you are good to go.Btw., in the Motion Editor you could also do pan&scan moves, taking different parts of your 4:3 image to fill the 16:9 screen,…
Of course you can also do it via the “Conform” tool to conform a 4:3 clip or sequence to HD, using various settings and approaches.

2.1.3 is backwards compatible to 2.1.2. But I haven´t tested 2.1.3 on 10.6.8; my guess is that if 2.1.2 works, there should be no reason why 2.1.3 would not (as long as the Aja drivers do work on 10.6.8).

Each file that gets “fast imported” into Media 100 gets an ID written into its QuickTime header. This is how Media 100 can decide which of 2 clips with identical names is the right one to use.
There is no “easy” or official way to link to new files. But (in case you are somewhat adventurous), I did something for a project lately where I was facing similar issues.
What I did was to export an XML from the timeline I wanted to relink, and then manually (or with a find/replace command for groups of clips) I did replace the media file filepath in the XML file via a Texteditor. Then I used the “update Media from XML” command to link to the new files while keeping the edits and effects intact.
Make sure to make a copy of your timeline before doing the “Update Media from XML”, because it will replace the clips on your current timeline; it does not create a copy or something.

Yep, not much happened except support for the new hardware (which of course is great). Have been working with it for a couple of weeks without (new) issues.

Could be a sync problem. Do you feed any kind of video or sync to the breakout box? Do you usually feed a video signal into the box that is missing now?

“Serial #: 827695 (P6000 lossless capable)””If you have the encryption key for V8.2.x for this board (the encryption keys are tied to a board serial number and to a software version), then it should work. The trial code is only for the newer software versions; V8.2.3a is the latest one that work with the P6000 board. If you have a code for your board that does not work with the V8.2.3a software, you should get in touch with Media 100 support.

Hmmm, this still sounds like a software problem; unfortunately I don´t have any 844/X installers anymore. I have to look through my documentation to see if I can find anything. But overall I guess that there is something missing; either there is a problem with the driver installation (maybe not compatible with your OS version???) or with the hardware itself. But from the sound of your report I would guess it is a software issue.

844/X should include an hardware test app. Did you run it? Did it report any hardware problems?
