I know AJA recommends 10.7 and above for 10.4.4 drivers, but I would love to not have to redo the AJA software for Media 100 when moving back from my 10.8.2 boot drive with Premiere. Am on M100 Suite 2.1.3 now (which requires 10.4.4).on both 10.6.8 and 10.8.2 boot drives on my Mac Pro 2010 hexacore. If I uninstall 2.1.3 on the 10.6.8 drive and reinstall 2.1.2, is 2.1.3 backward compatible? Have tested the 10.6.8/10.4.4/2.1.3 combo, and no immediate playback problems at least.

    Thanks

2.1.3 is backwards compatible to 2.1.2. But I haven´t tested 2.1.3 on 10.6.8; my guess is that if 2.1.2 works, there should be no reason why 2.1.3 would not (as long as the Aja drivers do work on 10.6.8).

I’m using 2.1.3 with 10.4.4 and OSX 10.7.5 MacPro 12-core. Seems to be working fine here, at least as fine as the last version was. I still get hang-ups exiting RED back to M100.

I hope I don’t jinx things by mentioning that the annoying random-garbage renders seem to have gone away.

I could use more speed from M100/RED. The activity monitor reports low CPU usage during rendering. Maybe it needs to be 64bit?
