Then import this xml into a new project and see what happens.
also usefull is before starting the new project, quit FCP and remove your prefs of Finalcutpro and start with new ones. -
try working in DV – as you are offlining. FCP will work much faster than in 10bit. if you are working with the decklink card, upgrade to tiger and fcp5 + 5.1 drivers, or in the aja, also the latested drivers. You can also gain some response time by using only the canvas window and make sure to set it on image only, not image + wireframe. Also full screen desktop preview is mostly faster than viewing the canvas over a decklink, aja or firewire.You can even try to set in systemprefs the effecthandling all realtime off, which in earlier versions of FCP gave you faster response time. Make also sure that your system has enough ram = more 2Gb, also set waveforms off
Anyhow all systems will show some delay, only the delay should be less than 4 frames: in my opinion the system is ok if you can stop easily 3 times in a row on the same frame. -
aic is 4.2.0 (as is HDV), bitrate is variable, depending on content. mostly around 6-10MB/s
no tape format is using aic.dvcprohd is 4.2.2, bitrate 14MB/s or 100Mbit/s (= 4x DV), it is also a tapeformat (also on P2)
perhaps apple or BMD could make a 4.2.2 version of this aic codec, or even better use JPEG2000 which is very scalable as an intermediate codec ( an is even a delivery codec with the Digital Cinema Initiative specs… )
There is also now the Thomson infinity camera who can use this codec.

mail them for the latest demo versions. Their system works with the decklink card, so you can playout all codecs support with the decklink, but only one card/mac. If you want multiple streams from one mac, they also have a firewire version, just add more firewirecards in your mac and hook these ports to multiple external firewire-component/sdi convertors ( canopus, sd-connect) depending on your needs. -
only the pdw1500 is gigaspeed ethernet and can transfer faster than realtime.
there is also a error in the apple sequence presets for imx : apple proposes even field, but as it is 4.2.2 it should be odd.

it can download already thumbnails to select the shots you need. it doenst need even finalcutpro to run. Also they are working on a version that can read the proxy files of the xdcam disks. So you can capture very fast the offline files of a disk, do the editing and then recapture over sdi.
But no IMX support for the moment in mxfconvertor. -
same disks? full disks can be 30 procent slower dan empty disks, also newer models are faster.

You WILL still need a small mixer if you are using standard active speakers, just to control to volume level of your speakers. The volume control on most active speakers is just too far away to be confortable -
