i also just installed the Behringer BCF2000 with FCP5.
updating the unit with the above tricks to firmware 1.10 was not a problem,
but i took some research to get the right settings:
the BCF2000 should in be usb mode and with the correct emulation mode : to get the correct emulation mode : press the 4th button right top under the round button ( the text VAL1 is on its right topside) while powering the BCF up. Wait till you see LC and release the button, and you’re set! next time when powering up the BCF will remind its settings.
Add in Finalcutpro menu tools, control surface, the BCF2000 to use it when having the Audio mixer window open.
The motorized faders are a bit noisy when the tough top or bottom, but for less than 200euro, we cannot complain too much 😉 The construction is more robust in real than the photo’s on the internet would indicate.
You have the jkl keys and play on the 4buttons in the right bottom corner, and the top circular controllers give you pan control , the button under them works for muting a track. with the preset buttons you have acces to tracks 9-16, 17- 24,…
We are also doing some tests with the Yamaha O1x, which also seems to work!
