Yes. I have tried rendering with ANIMATION, PRO RES 4444 and PRO RES 422. The only one that works in PRO RES 422.

Ok,
So it works when I export to Apple Pro Res 422(HQ) anyone know why that is?

I basically want it to look like the GRID is overlaid on the wave. I want it to look like he is surfing on the grid. Right now it just does not blend that well. It looks like the grid is on top of everything (including the surfer) it’s a bit overwhelming. Also is there a way to mask out certain parts of the grid. The usual mask does not seem to have any affect on it.
Thanks.

January 15, 2010 at 12:15 am in reply to: After Effects Does not Recognize Photoshop LayersI have until Thursday of next week to complete this. It is not essential that i get this to work the way I want I just felt like I could create some interesting effects if I had all the layers intact. I think what i will do now is manually extract the layers I want to use and create separate files for them. I know this will obviously take a lot longer then being able to import the whole PSD but it wil have to work for now. I will try posting this in the photo shop forum as well and see if anyone can help there.
In the meantime if anyone else has any suggestions/ideas, that would be great.
Thanks!

January 14, 2010 at 11:40 pm in reply to: After Effects Does not Recognize Photoshop LayersOK. I figured out the problem but now there is a new one. I had to convert the PSD from CMYK to RGB however the was a problem converting the PSD. A dialog box pops up and says “Changing modes will discard some adjustment layers, change mode anyway?” If I hit ok then the image is changed from the original. Some colors are off etc…
However, the change is not too drastic and I could work with the PSD but when I then import it into AE, some layers are distorted, others are missing attributes etc…
Any ideas on what’s going on here?

Mark,
OK. I think my problem was that I needed to increase the width of my brush stroke. Now in order to make it perfect I need to just adjust the control points correct?

Mark,
I’m a little confused. Let me explain to you what I have done. I have one group named TEXT which contains my word I want to reveal. The other group is labeled “PAINT” which contains the stroke that I traced the font with. I selected the TEXT group and added an image mask. For the mask source, I dragged over the paint stroke. Now when I play the timeline the font is not revealed, it is just revealing the jagged paint stroke, not the font.
Where did I go wrong?
Thanks!

Never mind. I figured it out. 🙂
Thanks Anyway.

Motion Project file so you can see what I’m talking about.
I hope that worked.
Let me know.
Thank You!
