The simple choke method worked however it had limitations. I wanted the splatter to animate from nothing on screen to revealing the whole splatter but I couldn’t push the value far enough to have it start from nothing. (I hope that made sense) Is there anyway around that?

I am looking at the comp window not the layer window and I have set the mask path but still no results. Any other ideas of why this may not be working?

Thanks for getting back to me. I did watch your video and I think the cardioid would be a better option. I just need a mic to use for interviews which would be the lavalier and also a mic to pic up general sound in a room. For instance, if I was filming a company meeting or something. As far as a mixer, I am not using one. I was planning on just plugging into the camera. We don’t have a big budget and we are not a production company so we do not need anything “TOO” professional, if that makes sense. If I can get away with just plugging into the camera that would be great. But if you believe a mixer is necessary please let me know.

Also, what cardiod do you recommend for me?
